Finance Application

Built a full-stack FinTech SaaS platform designed as an AI-powered personal finance coach instead of a traditional budgeting app. The platform helps users actively manage money, track spending, and make better financial decisions through real-time insights and conversational AI guidance.

The system combines live banking data, smart transaction categorization, and a context-aware AI assistant that answers real financial questions like “Can I afford this?” based on actual user budgets. It also supports shared family/couple budgets with strict data separation, allowing private and household finances to coexist securely in one account.

A core engineering focus was privacy-first architecture with end-to-end encryption, multilingual support (English & Dutch), and seamless cross-platform experience across mobile and web. Users get a complete financial snapshot including accounts, cards, loans, and investments in a single live dashboard updated in real time.

Key features include AI budget coaching, automated transaction categorization, shared budgets, subscription-based SaaS infrastructure, and a real-time financial overview. The platform was built using React Native, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Stripe, and OpenAI APIs with a secure, scalable backend architecture.
